How can I obtain Text Message Records?
I'm going through a divorce and I think my wife is cheating on me. She writes text messages to this guy and deletes them afterwards on "accident". I've found where I can see who she sent them too and at what time, but is there a way I can get a record of what they said. It is a Go Phone by AT&T, i have all the information to log into the account online. If i can get records to prove of adultry she cannot take the kids away from me or rob me of all my possesions through allimony.

What if I get lawyers involved? Maybe they can get a court order or something? I know the records are kept somewhere, just a matter of how to get them.
The only information that you are allowed to get about her text messages is the #'s that she is texting to and receiving from. The actual text messages are protected under federal law and can only be gotten through a court order and then a lawyer or a law officer can get them, not you. It is a very complicated process, but your lawyer can try to get an order to have them released. Good Luck!!
