Write Mind
What frame of mind are you normally in when you Write poetry?
I'm sometimes lazy with poetry, I tend to get distracted...when I should be immersing myself in writing more poems.
Do you just write when you have spare time, or when you feel pain, happiness....or do the words just come to you and you pen them down.
Discuss.
Good point Anouk, I find there is no certain frame of mind in writing. When the words flow, they simply write themselves.
I just used this in an answer to another related question, but this is the question it's really the answer for:
WHY POETRY?!?
Why do I write what I write when I write?!?
It's so often a mere case of wont;
When emotion has given my heart or mind plight,
I must fight back with format and font!!!
With rhyming and timing and aesthetic aligning
I often fill page after page after page;
With loving or liking...at times just with whining...
Sometimes with the bitterest rage!!!
With sadness or gladness or a lover's sweet madness,
I scribble...word-process...I've typed and I've drawn;
But no matter the medium, it's always success,
If, once completed, the conflict is gone!!!
Then, on special occasions, I oft shun convention;
I rarely buy prewritten cards full of rhyme.
So often, it's likely they'll fail to make mention
Of specific fine traits...or some memorable time!!!
My family...my friends..."Much too special!!!", I say;
We share love that mere words can't, but feebly, express.
We share laughter and tears...working hard or at play;
Intertwined lives with such detail one needs to address!!!
Then, finally, as with music, sweet words can form prayer,
A vent...and a tap...for your immortal soul;
And, when words, and their cadence, originate there,
They can't help but to help make your life whole!!!

In My Own Words $7.00 You may not have heard of the name Ne-Yo before, but you've more than likely heard some of his lyrics--specifically, on Mario's massive hit, "Let Me Love You." This talented musician wrote for a number of chart-toppers before the age of 22, penning songs for Mary J. Blige, B2K, and Faith Evans as well. After working for others, Ne-Yo--a.k.a. Shaffer Smith--decided to focus on his own career. Judgi... |

A Lot To Write About $7.69 "A lot To Write About" my very first book is mainly proving that there"s a lot of things in the world and in life to write about. I wrote about my experiences in life and of life and other experiences that other people might relate to in their life or even thought of or thought about. I wrote about many things and really gave people a glimpse into my mind for the moment and for what"s yet to come in the future from my poetry and I hope anyone that reads my book does enjoy it and passed it on to other people. LOVE LIFE. |
