Why do people try to crush your dreams?
I just asked a question about getting my play produced in NYC.
I only got one answer. It was basically someone saying, "sorry, it won't happen."
Why do people say crap like that? He hasn't read my play. He doesn't know what level of experience I have. I know I've set pretty high goals for myself, but I think I'm pretty talented. I've seen a fair number of plays in New York that were far worse than what I've written.
Anyway... does anyone else hate getting shot down like that?
girl take it from someone who's been there plenty of time. all throughout your life there is going to be people telling you you wont be anything, and you'll do nothing with your life....but the best thing you can do is prove them wrong.
and every one in a while, god will send one person to tell you that you can do it, you can fulfill your dreams....and that is what keeps you going, and believing
