Did Johnny Cash Write Hurt
Hurt--Nine Inch Nails or Johnny Cash?
Yes, I realize that Nine Inch Nails wrote the song and Johnny Cash's was just a cover, but it seems like Cash dealt with a lot more pain than Nine Inch Nails has. But that's not what I'm asking. Which song do you like better, and why?
Johnny's version was haunting. It was near the end of his life, and you could hear the sadness and regret in his voice. Cash was a true everyman, and I loved his work.
